Quite Quiet – Fairtrade jewellery that makes you think differently

Launched in 2016 by Johanna Schoemaker and Jonas Buck, the Quite Quiet jewellery brand sets its own sustainable superlatives: since its founding, the brand has worked exclusively with lab-grown gemstones and, since July 2022, it has been Germany's first jewellery label to offer lab-grown diamonds with independent SCS sustainability certification. All Quite Quiet jewellery is made from Fairtrade certified gold in their own Berlin workshop and in collaboration with partners in Germany. In our conversation with the founders, we explore, among other things, the question of how the production of gold jewellery can become more fair and sustainable and what consumer electronics, medical technology and wearable tech have in common with the label.
