All electric cars are energy efficient and green on paper, right? Not quite. When it comes to the future of the automobile industry, opinions are divided – regardless of whether we’re talking distances, the network of charging stations or the inhumane working conditions in lithium and cobalt mines. Although the environmental impact of electric cars does need to be carefully analysed, one thing is for sure: they are the future – even if only for the mid-term. And fossil fuel-guzzling combustion engines are on the way out.
